Wilma decided to become a funeral director after the death of her dear late mother (Mrs Tina Righi).  She wanted to help other grieving people like herself in their time of need.  After gaining all the experience she needed plus the extensive training required to become a Professional Funeral Director, and having worked for two of Melbourne's largest funeral companies, Wilma decided to establish Basilica Funerals.

Although Basilica Funerals is a Christian company and specialises in Catholic funerals as well as Australian, Italian and Ethnic Funerals, it also caters for people from all religious faiths and backgrounds. Basilica Funerals aims at helping anyone who is in need at the time of death.
